Ashanti Shequoiya, also known as Ashanti was born October 13 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is a musician, singer and actor from her native United States. Ashanti was first discovered when she was an 18-year-old and was signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. Ashanti made an appearance on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? Also, she was featured on the Fat Joe's hit song"What's Luv!" and the Ja Rules' track Always On Time and Ja Rules track Always On Time, both of which became huge hit songs. In the year she debuted her debut single What's Luv, at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at #1 with Foolish being her first single, she became the only female to achieve this feat. The first female artist holding the highest two positions on the American Billboard Hot 100 and with the number one spot held by Foolish. one and the other being What's Loving? Tina Douglas was her mother and Ken Kaide Thomas Douglas had before been vocalists. Kenashia Schia is Douglas's younger sister, is older. The Declaration The fourth studio album, debuted on June 3, 2008. Hey Baby, After the Club (released on the radio and on digital) dropped on the 16th of October on the 16th of October, 2008. She played Latasha In Army Wives and starred in the movie Christmas in the City. Her track Rock wit U was sampled by British singer Aitch for his song Baby in March 10, 2022.
